Datamining Online Poker Tables

Imagine sitting down at a poker table with 9 total strangers and automatically knowing everything about their game. Imagine having knowledge equal to sitting with each of them for hundreds of hours and closely studying their every move. This is exactly what a dataminer will allow you to do. When used along with a heads up display and tracking software (like PokerTracker) you can have thousand of hands of data displayed right on your screen on every player at your table. How does it work?

A dataminer will open and close tables while you are away from your computer and record every action that every player at those tables makes. Your computer can be watching 20+ tables at a time while you are sleeping. This data is then imported into a database and the stats are displayed directly on your poker table with a heads up display. So why is it important to have thousands of hands worth of data on every player?

You could play 30 hands or so against and opponent an think you know everything about them.. You know that they haven’t played a hand yet so it means that they are a tight player right? The answer is perhaps. Having 30 hands are better than having 0 but what do you think it tells you? Perhaps the player doesn’t have any good cards worth playing just yet. You can easily say that the sample is very small.

If you have been datamining all week long, you will probably have a few thousand hands worth of data. The data that you have may be able to tell you that the player that you have your eyes on may not be as tight as you first thought and not a good candidate to steal from. If you have a larger amount of data, it will be more accurate. With the use of datamining you will have good information on every online poker player that you come across.

Datamining is also very helpful for you if you use a poker table scanner for table selection. Having a lot of information on almost everyone on the poker table, you will definitely benefit in any available poker games online.

The professionals are datamining and know a lot about you. Shouldn’t you have that same advantage?
